What’s the difference between school of real biz and the other programs?
Job Ready Assessment is an intelligent tool that helps to figure out quickly how ready you are for the job you want and gives you feedback on what to do to become ready if you are not. Briefly, the School of Real Biz program is a lot more comprehensive: the learners will be working on real life businesses using latest cloud tools in a simulated chartered accountancy firm environment. Dealing with real life client issues/meetings to help build real life experience and confidence fast.

Are all the courses online and flexible?
We are an education technology company. All of our programs are online even our real life mentor/client meetings are virtual. This reflects the nature of work and business in the digital age.

Would the school of real biz program be in a demo environment simulating a live business?
The course is designed and built to simulate you as the accountant/business advisor working with clients of a few real businesses. The two core blocks of the program are: 1)Technical accounting and bookkeeping on real life businesses on Xero and its addon products, scheduled client(real person) meeting in terms of reporting and financial management 2)Problem solving real life issues for clients(work with people): phone/email queries, presentations. Both with dedicated professional support. Consider yourself working in a CA environment and looking after/taking responsibility for a few clients. You can see the focus here is to absolutely build real life experience and skills.

Apart from xero, what systems / platform will the learners be exposed to?
In terms of accounting specific platforms: Xero and its addon products. In addition there is a range of real life industry specific tools and resources that we expose our learners to plus the knowledge and experience shared from experienced clients and mentors in industries.

Is the course tailored to Australia and New Zealand businesses?
Yes, We have built our programs for both Australia and New Zealand markets. You can enrol in either the Australia or New Zealand program.

What specific skills is the course targeting the learners to acquire?

Where are the sessions held?
All of your learning resourses will be hosted on AccountingPod’s learning portal which is accessible online and on mobile. The scheduled client/mentor interactions are via virtual meeting platforms.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?
You may cancel and receive a refund before the program commences. However, due to the nature of the program and the resources required to have the program ready for you, once the program commences, there will be no refund issued. If for reasons beyond your control you have to withdraw from the program, the directors may consider issuing a course credit. Please contact our support team in the first instance.

What happens if I fail the program?
You have an opportunity to apply for a final assessment. To apply, you will need to send a request email to students@accountingpod.com. Based on the user data we hold for you, we will then determine if you have put in a reasonable level of work and commitment to be considered for a final assessment. The consideration process costs USD$150.The final assessment process costs USD$250. Payments will need to be made before these processes begin.
